Seems to be the most asked question about men by exasperated and jaded women. The daily topic of female self-help talk shows and cable news hosts deciphering the latest political scandal. So why do men cheat? Well come deeper into the world of manhood as I impart you with the motivations for a man cheating on his spouse. Note that I've never personally cheated, but know men who have and combined with being a student of human behavior, can shed some light on the situation.
THE MAIN REASON MEN CHEAT
Old vs new
Sorry ladies, it's usually that simple. Men are hardwired from the hunter gatherer days to seek out new partners once they've already taken a mate because it was vital to the human species for the men to spread their seed. Survive and replicate was all that drove the human animal. This was before the days of philosophy and Mcribs. Monogamy in those times would have effectively been sucide. The altered view of man and woman relations imposed by an evolved society has yet to reach our animal brain so there will always be the novelty factor working against you. The attractiveness of the other woman isn't important. Her only appeal is that she isn't you. Or she's a college student. In this sex driven culture we're bombarded with images of unnaturally hot women that make us question our current coital partners and give us delusions of trading up to an airbrushed model. Of course there are other motivations for cheating. The "old vs new" paradigm isn't necessarily enough to drive the husband of the year to be Tiger Woods. Here are some more reasons:
-You failed to stroke his ego: This is more important than his little buddy. If you don't make your man feel like a man then he will pay a hooker to do it.
-You're boring in bed: If sleeping with you is more comparable to cleaning the gutters, don't be surprised if he looks for work next door.
-He doesn't want you anymore: This is an admittedly messed up situation. You may be enjoying the relationship, but he clearly is fed up with you. However the prospect of a dry spell is scarier than putting up with you, so he'll shop around until he finds a female safety net. That way when he dumps you, there will be no lull in his bedroom activities.
