The Genocide of Honey Bees: EPA and Bayer the Culprits

"If the bee disappeared off the surface of the globe
then man would only have four years left to live." -Albert Einstein

I'm merely paraphrasing the EPA's response. One sometimes must laugh to prevent from bursting into tears, but I'm okay, no immediate need for Kleenex. North America's pollution of the planet, its hording of resources, its war crimes, its crimes against its citizens, have been common knowledge to me. That's a perk of pessimism, it's hard to be caught off guard with terrible news. You expect it. For years, scientists have been scrambling to figure out why the North American Honey Bee population is decreasing at such an alarming rate. It hasn't gotten much attention in the media though because it has nothing to do with cat fighting diplomats or a starlet exposing her snatch. But at least that Jerry Seinfeld animated movie touched on the topic while entertaining children.
However I assure you that the self-fulfilling prophecy of Armageddon is a gravely serious matter. Without the Honey Bee, we will die. Very soon. Scientists know this so they've been racking their brains attempting to figure out why. Electromagnetic radiation, malnutrition, climate change, the V's, nothing was quite adding up. But the answer was so simple and so sadly predictable. It was a government agencies' fault. Something they were concealing.
Well now a document has been leaked from the EPA revealing that the cause of the Bee die-off can be attributed to them allowing the mass use of a pesticide called clothianidin (chlo-thi-an-ah-din) which is poison to the Bees. Why use it? Glad you asked. The pesticide is produced by Bayer and it's primarily used to pre-treat corn seeds. It grossed $262 million in 2009 alone from Farmer purchases who use clothianidin for canola, soy, sugar beets, sunflowers, and wheat.
Bayer previously had a study that concluded clothianidin was safe, but the leaked memo reveals that Bayer was stunningly not telling the truth so as to not diminish their sale figures. The leak was put out in response to Bayer's request to expand the Bee genocide by using the pesticide on cotton and mustard next. The EPA's Environmental Fate and Effects Division actually expressed concern about the use of clothianidin back in 03 warning of quote:"possibility of toxic exposure to non-target pollinators [e.g., honeybees] through the translocation of clothianidin residues that result from seed treatment."
Here is an excerpt from the leaked memo:
Clothianidin’s major risk concern is to non-target insects (that is, honey bees). Clothianidin is a neonicotinoid insecticide that is both persistent and systemic. Acute toxicity studies to honey bees show that clothianidin is highly toxic on both a contact and an oral basis. Although EFED does not conduct RQ based risk assessments on non-target insects, information from standard tests and field studies, as well as incident reports involving other neonicotinoids insecticides (e.g., imidacloprid) suggest the potential for long term toxic risk to honey bees and other beneficial insects.
The Bayer study on clothianidin included ways of making their case by having tests and control fields planted as close as 968 feet apart.
So of course the EPA took Bayer's "science" to heart and continue to do so. The substance is banned in Germany, France, Italy, and Slovenia. It should be banned everywhere, and America should be taking the lead. But of course they can't sacrifice short-term profit from food products despite the future EXTINCTION OF ALL FOOD PRODUCTS!
If this leak hadn't happened, nobody would even know about it. I wouldn't even have known there was a leak if it were not for the legendary writer Neil Gaiman's Twitter feed. For opponents of transparency in government and to the ones that trust the media, I believe chess players call this checkmate.

At one time, I was in the US Navy and we were offered some time off in exchage for getting an id chip implanted in our hand. The plus, they said, was so we would be able to function without dog-tags or a military i.d. card. Our chip could be read if we went to the doctor and our entire medical history would be uploaded. (I am REALLY not making this up.) So, I can't say that I trust our government here too much, no matter WHO is in power.
However, I do, take issue with one thing you said. Why is it that everyone wishes to blame North America, and the USA in particular for all of the world's problems, yet we are the first one that people ask for help from when something happens. AND if we do not get it, (or we cut off any aid) we are looked down upon?
For instance, we send millions to Argentina each year to assist their government but the Argentine President (who asked us for the funds to begin with) gets angry when he talks bad about the US and we say, ok. Well, you want to put us down? Don't take our money then.
We decide that since we were attacked by Al-Qaida, we need to secure our borders, but the President of Mexico says we should not have the right to patrol our borders or put up a fence to keep illegal aliens out. In addition, we'd BETTER not call them illegal aliens, but "undocumented" or "unregistered citizens." He had the gall to come to our soil and tell us we were being racist against HIS people by trying to secure our borders.
Truly, I don't understand. Perhaps you can shed some light on it for me.

In regards to the border, a fence won't work it's too much land to cover. There are two solutions to stopping illegal's coming in from Mexico.
1.Help make Mexico habitable.
2.Stop hiring undocumented workers.
But I totally believe you about the chip, I heard about that technology a few years ago. They want to make every U.S. citizen eventually wear it to store all their information.
