Electronic Pash Rash
September 17th 2006 15:15
I spent last week throwing kisses around relatively willy-nilly at any suitable girl who fell into the criteria I had listed. One of these was that she must have a photo, but further than that all I had to do was meet her wants/needs as listed in her profile. Lesson Number 1 for blokes out there looking to meet someone is that no matter how ideal you think she would be for you, if you don’t fit into her criteria, don’t try to contact her. This is the number 1 pet hate of any of the women I have emailed so far. They are annoyed, collectively, that the men online just don’t seem to read their profiles. They get emails from blokes way outside their specified age ranges, from overseas and interstate, and they reserve the right to either not answer, or just be downright rude to you if you do it. I cant say I blame them – after all, what kind of message does it send them if you cant even pay attention to their internet profile before you’ve met them?
I sent out a decent number of kisses after I got a little unsure of whether any of the contact would turn out positively. Since then I have been receiving kisses from different great sounding women every day. The variety of their profiles is astounding and I must say its…great. It is a decent ego boost for a bloke who thought initially that nothing at all would come of it. At this stage I couldn’t be more wrong. I have been swapping “kisses” with many varied, intelligent, attractive and interesting women. I have sent and answered about two dozen different emails and it has been really quite exciting and interesting to open my email inbox to find another two or three emails in there with new or repeat contact from one of the many different women out there corresponding on Cupid’s cable.
In case you have been struggling to find anyone worth “kissing” and to keep things interesting, each week (if you select the right option) the websites send you an email full of women that are potentially suitable for you. Through their computer screening programs they have narrowed down the selection to those who have similar interests to your own listing. Now I thought I had been really thorough in going through all profiles to find the ones who are most suitable for me, but in every weekly email there will be more. There will be some in there that you haven’t seen before. There will be brand new ones who seem ideal as well. Where do I stop? My kiss button has a stress induced pash rash.
