The Depth of the Rabbit Hole: The War on Civil Liberties

Everything truly did change on 9/11. From that day forward we have seen the true decadence of democracy. Embrace farewell the bygone era of honoring our constitution. But then, when has there ever been much adherence to the idea of justice for all? The founding of this nation required decades of genocide. Murdering Native Americans, taking their children and putting them in schools that taught them their people were savages and forbade them from speaking their native tongue. An American infrastructure built on the enslavement of Africans while simultaneously suppressing the knowledge of their contributions. (Edison didn't invent the light bulb. Don't know? It's by design) Following the reluctant release of said Africans, Jim Crow, segregation, daily lynching’s, all government approved. During World War 2, the capture of Asian Americans and forcing them into concentration camps. Dropping two Atomic bombs killing over 200,000 innocent people.

All government, all justified with fear based rationale.

Now in the new millennium, our government has taken it a step further. Spreading the blanket of terror to all colors and creeds. Using 9/11, a preventable tragedy given all their prior warnings, and cashing in on it. Digressing over to Iraq on the strength of an effortless lie and the fear of a nation. Thousands of lives lost, billions of dollars in profit for Halliburton, and other war profiteers, many of whom were serving as policy makers. All in the name of saving us from the terrorists. They enjoyed the spoils of their military industrial complex and wall street cons that has enabled their elegant lifestyles of indulgence our taxes and 401k’s have financed. And they aren't even keeping us from the terrorists.

We have not been separated from our government.

Propaganda has trained you to equate terrorism with Muslims in caves, doing absurd drills on jungle gyms. What exactly is terrorism?

Terrorism
–noun
1.
the use of violence and threats to intimidate or coerce, esp. for political purposes.
2.
the state of fear and submission produced by terrorism or terrorization.

Think about it. Did the Muslims declare a code red or code orange constantly to keep you looking over your shoulder? Did Bin Laden feed you ghost stories of WMD's that were no more real than the Easter Bunny? Who mandated stereotypical targeting, full scale groping, and invasive, expensive, but ineffective scans just so you could get on an airplane? We are being terrorized by our own government under the guise of protection from terrorism. Brilliant really. But now that regime is jeopardized. See somebody dared to challenge and reveal their malicious policies to the world. The existence of Wikileaks scares the U.S Government and other corrupt systems across the world because it threatens to empower the people they have subjugated all these years. To know, is to have power after all. They are truly scrambling, but the media, who've lost all dissension and integrity keep you numb with stories about Dancing with the Stars or the Beatles coming to Itunes. If they touch on Wikileaks, it's to slam Assange and anybody who sides with him as a terrorist, backing this rhetoric with more rhetoric, rather than fact.

Wikileaks represents the righteous banner of liberty we've claimed to have bled for all these years, and it's being dragged through the filth, attacked for daring to question and keep honest the ruling class. Behold, what they think of your rights:

Bradley Manning, the Wikileaker who preceded the diplomatic cables has not been formally charged. Instead he has been held in a windowless room with no bed and no sheets for months. Think about that. Detained under those draconian conditions for months with no charge laid against him.

A bureaucratic assault on the private sector who dare provide services to Wikileaks or Assange thus far include Paypal, Visa, Mastercard, and Amazon. All approached with political muscle for indiscriminately going about their business.

Reports are surfacing that Washington threatened to cut off intelligence sharing services with Stockholm so Swedish authorities would get Interpol to pursue laughable sexual offenses against Julian Assange for the purpose of getting him into custody, long enough to find a charge that will stick.

The United States Air Force has blacked out electronic access on all its computers to newspapers who have published excerpts from the leaked cables. Employees are forbidden from reading said papers under threat of severe penalty. A general order prohibits each and every DoD employee even from looking at hard copy editions.

Memo's were dispersed to colleges across America warning graduating students seeking jobs in government that if they have so much as shared an article Wikileaks related on their Facebook Walls, they need not apply.

Our government has turned into the Autocratic empire the puppet politicians self-righteously rail against. Our rights take a backseat when it comes to covering up their subversion of liberty as they indefensibly enacted self-serving policies at the expense of the people they were elected to protect. The severely over taxed payer. I mentioned here the struggle to even get true hero's their hard earned healthcare. The Zadroga Bill, the bill for 9/11 responders who have suffered long term health problems from digging through rubble when the towers collapsed, is being held up by a filibuster. You know what didn't get held up? The tax cut for everybody, which had to include people making over $200,000 per year. Nothing further will be done because our politicians don't want to work through Christmas. They claimed it would be disrespectful to themselves as Christians during their cherished religious holiday. Yes, putting off playing with your new Blue-ray player to prevent 9/11 responders from dying would be disrespectful to Christians. Well based on history, at least these alleged Christians are showing consistency with their hypocrisy, as has always been the practice.
